21/04/2010 - JTG Performance @ LSX Shootout

A.P.S. Service Centre foreman Matt's everyday work ute ,  JTG LPG , VZ Ls2 ,LPG Cam, 2800rpm Torque Convertor , Sports Exhaust and APS cold air box .

A.P.S. tidied up the tune and dynoed it on the preceeding thursday night ,the ute made 314 at the rear wheels on JTG LPG , further tuning made available by using EFI Live alternative fuel operating system ( separate ignition timing and air/fuel corrections for high performance usage )

Matt filled the LPG tank before he left , cost him a whole $42 ( compared to almost $100 if he had used premium unleaded  fuel.

Drove Frankston to Heathcote - approx 220 Km

First couple of runs were done on street tyres , as the drag radials on 15" rims wouldn't fit over the big rear discs.

Matt managed a 12.31 @ 115 MPH  on Friday night on street tyres - JTG LPG of course.

Saturday morning the boys swapped over the rear discs to fit the radials ( to save the street tyres really) the ute then ran on  LPG all day , pass after pass after pass , 12.48, 12.47, 12.70, 12.69, 12.79, 12.75, 12.71, 12.87. ( there are more time slips but I can't find them !)

We worked it out that every run cost approx 5 cents on fuel.

Sunday morning , Matt swapped the tyres back and drove home , still with LPG in the tank !

And best of all , Matt felt he was being "environmentally friendly" the whole time ! LOL
